Council Meetings
Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of the month with the exception of June, July and August when one meeting a month is held.
Non-Emergency Police Calls
Non-emergency police calls REQUIRING A POLICE RESPONSE should be placed to 419-255-8443.
Calls to 419-865-7105 are only answered during normal business hours and do not have ability to dispatch officers.

Yard Waste Disposal
The Village contracts with Ohio Composting for free resident drop off of yard waste such as grass clippings, brush and tree limbs. They are located at 10839 Sager Rd (State Route 20A). They are open 9a-5p Monday through Friday. Phone number is 419-897-7807.
Leaf Collection, Right of Way Trees & Sidewalks
Spring Leaf Collection will run April 22 – May 3, 2024. Maintenance crews atempt to follow the posted routes, please keep in mind that the schedule may be delayed.
COLLECTION SCHEDULE:
MONDAYS – all streets in the Whisperwood Subdivision
TUESDAYS – Clarion, Clark, Front and Angola Roads
WEDNESDAYS – Dunn, Cornwall, and Springfield Drive
THURSDAYS – Kipling, Second, McCord, Georgianna, Erie, Columbus, Washington and Almaine
FRIDAYS – All streets south of the railroad tracks including Nightingale
Right of Way Trees and Sidewalks
Per Village Ordinances trees in the right of way are the responsibility of the property owner where the tree is located. Sidewalks are also considred property owner responsibilty.

Streetlight Outages
All streetlights in the Village are owned and operated by Toledo Edison. Outages may be reported by phone 1-888-544-4877 or online at this link.
Path lighting in Strawberry Acres Park and the Roundabout lights are owned and operated by the Village, please contact the municipal offices with any concerns. We are working to determine the cause of the current outage of the Roundabout lights. Please use caution in the area during nightime travel.
Street Damage, Sign Damage, Mailbox Damage
Please contact the Village offices to report any damage to streets, street signs or in Strawberry Acres or Rail Park.
Mailboxes damaged by snow plows on Angola and McCord Roads should be reported to the Lucas County Road Maintnenace at 419-213-2892.
Utility Aggregation
Residents periodically receive mailings from energy and electric companies regarding opting out of the aggregation program providers. If you do not wish to leave the aggregation, do nothing, throw the card or letter away or tell the solicitor on the phone or at your door that you are not interested.
Current suppliers for natural gas are Constellation New Energy and Energy Harbor for electricity.
BEGINNING JUNE 2024 AGGREGATION GAS CUSTOMERS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHED TO COLUMBIA GAS TEMPORARILY; IN OCTOBER 2024, AGGREGATION GAS USERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE SWITCHED TO ARCHER ENERGY. THE CONTRACT WITH ARCHER EXPIRES JUNE 2026.

Am I really in the Village?
There is a large Holland mailing address area with only a small number of households and businesses actually under Village jurisdiction. Check out the Street_list to verify if that address is located in the Village.

Holland contracts with the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) for enforcement of its income tax regulations. This includes annual returns, estimated payments, local withholding, etc.
All returns, schedules, and other documents need to be submitted directly to R.I.T.A. Documents submitted to the Village of Holland will be returned to the sender and may result in penalties and fines if the returned filing is late.

Village News
Winter Weather
All sidewalks must be clear of ice and snow to permit pedestrian traffic. Properties with obstructed sidewalks more than 24 hrs after accumulation will be cleared by the Village. Costs will be invoiced to the property owner. Unpaid invoices are certified to the property taxes. No notice to tenants or owners will be given prior to the Village taking action to clear any sidewalk.
No snow or ice may be placed onto any roadway. Any property depositing snow or ice from shoveling, plowing or blown by other equipment will be subject to citation. Be sure to advise any service provider as they will also be subject to citation.
On street parking prohibited when two or more inches of snow is predicted or has accumulated. Vehicles remaining on roadways are subject to citation or towing. Parking ban remains in effect until the snow event has stopped, even if the plow has cleared the street.
The Village is responnsible for maintaining passable roadways, it is the property owner responsibility to assure clear access to driveways and mailboxes.
