Maintenance

A full time maintenance crew consisting of one supervisor and three additional full time employees service the Village. The maintenance division is responsible for the upkeep of all the Village streets, whether patching, removing snow or salting, or cleaning the curbs and catch basins. Division personnel are also responsible for leaf collection, park maintenance, right of way tree care, and minor repairs to the Village fleet of vehicles.

Did you know that the Village has 12 miles of dedicated streets to maintain? During an average winter, the Village will spread 500 tons of salt on the roads to keep them safe and clear for travel.

Holland Police Department

The Holland Police Department strives to enhance the quality of life in our Village by promoting safety. Working with the community we will provide quality services, enforce laws, protect life and property and protect the rights of all people. We maintain a friendly, yet professional, atmosphere. We are committed to working with the community to solve problems, reduce crime, and create a safe environment for our residents and business people.

Zoning

The zoning department issues zoning permits for all construction projects, big and small, within the Village. The zoning permit indicates that the proposed construction is compliant with the zoning regulations. The Village contracts with the City of Maumee for building permits and inspections. Building permits ensure that the construction will meet all current State of Ohio building code regulations.
