The Village of Holland is a designated Tree City USA. We have worked hard to obtain and maintain this prestigious designation. To qualify for this certification the Village has implemented a comprehensive tree maintenance and planning program. We monitor the species type, condition and location of all trees on municipal property, which includes, street right-of-ways and Strawberry Acres Park. In order to ensure that the type and location of trees on public property are beneficial from both an esthetic and safety standpoint, we work closely with the State Forester from Ohio Division of Natural Resources. The Village also has a tree "ordinance" governing the care, placement and removal of any municipal tree. Please be sure to contact Village Administration BEFORE you consider any tree planting or removal in any Village right-of-way. If we work together to care for and properly place the right trees in the Village we can ensure a beautiful place to live for future generations.
