Maintenance Each year, residents of Lucas County recycle over: *150 tons of household hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, batteries etc.) *34,000 tons of yard waste *1,000 tons of scrap tires *24,123 tons of news and & other papers and *1,853 tons of glass, 23,461 tons of metal, 812 tons of plastic and 12,092 tons of cardboard. NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE Beginning April 1, 2006 all paper and cardboard recycling material must be placed in a separate bin from other materials. Additional bins are available at the Village offices at no cost to you. Your assistance in correctly separating recycling materials and assuring that non-recyclables such as food scraps, diapers and sanitary products are not placed in the bins is greatly appreciated.
