Strawberry Acres Park

Max Albon Lodge:
The Max Albon Lodge is an enclosed wooden shelter with sliding doors that can be opened with attached restroom facilities that services the Strawberry Acres Park. This facility has a barn-like interior with wooden beams and trusses, a concrete floor, two stone fireplaces and 18 picnic tables for seating. This facility is available for rental May 15 through September 30. The shelter house may be reserved in its entirety or half of the facility may be rented for smaller gatherings. Alcohol is allowed within the shelter house only.

Beginning in early 2008, the village will be constructing a new shelter house facility. It is anticipated that the new lodge will be completed by the end of 2008. It is the intent of the village to continue rentals within the existing shelter house during construction although a final determination on these rentals will need to be made as construction progresses. THE LODGE WILL NOT BE  AVAILABLE AFTER AUGUST 31, 2008. Please call the village offices 419-865-7104 for current information regarding the rental of the shelter house for the 2008 season.

 2008  pricing:

Full shelter house - non-resident  $175.00  resident $160.00 (capacity 100-125)     Half shelter house - non-resident $100.00 resident $90.00 (capacity 50-60)

A $100 cleaning deposit is also required in addition to the rental fee. All rental fees must be paid within seven days of making the reservation. The cleaning deposit is due seven days prior to the event. As the cleaning deposit is held until after the event, the rental fee and cleaning deposit should be paid for separately.

A 20% cancellation fee is withheld from all cancelled or changed reservations.  For more information please contact the Village of Holland offices at 419-865-7104.


NEW LODGE AMENITIES:  A rustic, hewn stone and glass structure with covered drop off area at the front door with 2 halls, each with a capacity of approx. 90. Both halls may be rented together for larger parties. The dividing wall between the halls is retractable for this purpose. It is also sound proof so that separate parties do not interfere with each other. Both halls will have outside patios accessible by sliding doors. A central kitchen area, utilized by both halls, will contain a warming ovens, microwaves, refrigerators/freezers, sinks and cupboard space.
