Text Box: Residents have recently received a letter from the OSU Extension regarding aerial spraying of a non-toxic insecticide to combat the gypsy moth infestation in our area. The gypsy moths have begun laying their egg masses and if the amount of purple gunk (excrement) that was noticed by Village residents this spring and summer is any indication, Holland has a very heavy infestation. Please take the time to read the letter and become familiar with the requirements placed by the State of Ohio in order for a community to qualify for this aerial spraying program. The letter notes a charge per acre for the program, THE VILLAGE OF HOLLAND HAS AGREED TO PAY ALL COSTS FOR THE SPRAYING.  NO RESIDENTS WILL BE ASSESSED.
